Outback

The base level Subaru Outback comes out strong with its 2.5L 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER® engine, which comes mated to the Lineartronic® CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), and can deliver 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque. The Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive System comes standard across all trims. This particular setup gives the base trim 2,700 pounds of towing capacity.

The interior comes outfitted with cloth upholstery, and the dashboard features the STARLINK® Dual 7.0-inch Multimedia system. There are two high-resolution touchscreens that give you access to your HD Radio®, 4-month SiriusXM® Satellite Radio trial, and SiriusXM® Travel Link®, and even the Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

The Outback base trim also comes with the EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology suite. This includes Pre-Collision Braking, Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, and Lane Keep Assist.

Outback Premium

The Subaru Outback Premium carries over the same engine setup as the base trim, but adds a few new features and components along the way. While it also includes the cloth upholstery, it adds the leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter handle. It also adds the dual-zone climate control, which allows you and your front passenger set your respective heating or cooling preferences.

This trim adds the STARLINK® 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system. This particular large screen includes the same features, but adds access to NFC technology, which allows for wireless and contactless smartphone connectivity. This trim also adds two additional speakers and the 4G LTE Wi-Fi capability.

On top of including the EyeSight® system, this trim includes the STARLINK® Safety and Security, which includes features like Automatic Collision Notification, SOS Emergency Assistance, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Maintenance Notifications, and more!

Outback Limited

While the Outback Limited trim brings a lot of familiar features to the table, it does add some new aspects that make it its own. This trim includes the power adjustable front seats that allow you and your front passenger to tailor your preferred comfort for the ride. This trim also adds the leather-trimmed upholstery for added style and comfort.

The Limited trim also includes the Keyless Access with Push-Button Start and PIN-Code vehicle access, which makes gaining entrance to your vehicle much easier. The interior also adds the auto-dimming rear view compass mirror with HomeLink®. It even includes the Harman Kardon® premium audio system.

The Outback Limited carries over the same infotainment system as the previous trim; however, it adds some new features to the EyeSight® system. There's the Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and the Reverse Automatic Braking, which adds an extra layer of convenience and security to your driving.

Outback Touring

The Subaru Outback Touring trim carries over a lot of the same engineering, features, and technology as the previous trims. However, it does add a few new things to make it unique. The interior includes the Nappa leather-trimmed upholstery.

The interior also adds a few new things to the mix in terms of infotainment. The STARLINK® 11.6-inch Multimedia Navigation comes standard, which adds turn-by-turn directions and GPS graphics to highlight your way. This trim also adds a CD player to help you get the most out of your music library.

Another big feature added with this trim is DriverFocus™ Distraction Mitigation System. This system can detect when you're less focused while driving, and will alert you and recommend taking breaks after long stretches of highway driving.

Outback Onyx Edition XT

The Onyx Edition XT adds some exciting new elements to the vehicle. It comes with a 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that's able to produce 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. It also extends the towing capacity to 3,500 pounds.

The interior comes outfitted with the StarTex® water-repellent upholstery. It also brings back the original STARLINK® 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system with the 6-speaker sound system.

Outback Wilderness

The Outback Wilderness trim is the last in the series, and it's designed for the adventurous driver. It carries over the turbocharged engine and the water-repellent upholstery from the previous trim. It also includes the 11.6-inch screen and the 6-speaker sound system.

The main differences here are with the exterior style. It incorporates the hexagonal LED fog lights and the Black-finish folding side mirrors with integrated turn signals. It also adds the raised roof rails, which are featured on most trims, but it increased the maximum capacity to 200 pounds from 150 pounds on the previous trims.
