2022 Subaru Outback Review
The Subaru Outback comes powered by a 2.5L Subaru BOXER® 4-cylinder engine. This engine lays flat and features horizontally opposed valves that help fuel the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.
In terms of power, this engine boasts 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough to add a kick to your morning commute. If you’re looking for more power though, you’ll want to add in the available turbocharged 2.5L Subaru BOXER®. Turbo power amps your output up to 260 HP and 277 lb-ft of torque!
The 2022 Outback offers 109 cubic feet of passenger space. This is more than enough space for you, your copilot, the kids, and whoever else is along for the ride to stretch out. Additionally, the rear offers 32.5 cubic feet of cargo space, but when the seats are folded flat, it boosts to 75.7 cubic feet.
The cabin features the STARLINK® Dual 7-inch Multimedia system. This features two 7-inch multimedia touchscreen displays. From these screens, you can access features like SiriusXM® and SiriusXM® Travel Link (trial subscriptions), as well as the HD Radio® and Bluetooth® system. The Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ systems integrate your phone into the screen so you can access it from the road.
With so much connectivity at your disposal, even the simplest run to the grocery store can feel like a media-rich adventure!
The 2022 Subaru Outback comes standard with the Subaru EyeSight® system. This system uses exterior sensors and cameras to measure the speed of your vehicle and its proximity to other cars on the road. Using these measurements, the systems will enact a warning and provide braking assistance to help you avoid an accident on the road.
Subaru EyeSight® includes:
- Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering
- Pre-Collision Braking
- Lane Departure and Sway Warning
- Lane Keep Assist
